24 Ways To Reinvent Yourself In The Coming Year

Feel Good Project day 42

A client of mine said to me today, “If I could give you one piece of advice, it’d be to never stop reinventing yourself.”

Pretty good unsolicited advice if you ask me!

Boy, does that ring true in my opinion. The more I think about it though, why just stop at reinventing yourself?

I want to NEVER stop: being kind to myself, taking time to listen to my gut, loving others in creative ways, going the extra mile, acting NOW, dreaming outside the lines, lending a helping hand, spreading hope, being the change I want to see in the world, expecting miracles, learning new things, squashing FEAR, taking risks, loving fully, healing my mind and body, feeding myself royally, trusting the process, being open to new ideas, cutting myself some slack, adding to my self care routines, reaching for new heights, setting lofty goals, giving back, listening to whatever the still small voice is whispering to me…

The list could go on and on.

I believe that the emotional aspect of feeling good is JUST as important as figuring out the physical. Maybe even more so!

The woman who comes to mind the most every time I think about reinventing the self would be Louise Hay in her book You Can Heal Your Life.

That book changed my life I can honestly say.

I picked that book up the week after my hospital testing, knowing that I was about to embark on a whole new journey, and knew I was in search of some sort of guide book to help me along my path.

I had heard about this book before, and it more than delivered the messages of hope and healing to me that I was longing to hear, at exactly the right time.

Louise reminds me that if she can heal, ANY of us can. Whether it’s physical challenges or disease, or mental stresses and hardships-there is always HOPE, as she displays so lovingly to the world in her amazing work.

The books I have read in the past year have changed me in ways that reading never has. I chalk it up to being at the right place in my life to receive the wisdom. When the student is ready the teachers shall appear. I have been the most hungry student, soaking up any and every bit of information to challenge my previous thinking (which looking back, was often very bleak and depressed if I am honest)

Feeling better started when I changed my mindset more than anything else. I strive to make more time for reading so as to keep my perspectives fresh and the wheels of reinvention rolling.

FEEL GOOD MOMENT OF THE DAY: This magical time of the year I can’t help but stop to smell and SAVOR the fresh pine tree scent outside the grocery store. There were some extra branches laying on the ground, so I took a small one in the car with me and smelled it the whole time on the drive home while listening to holiday music. Beautiful, peaceful reminders of the most magical time of the year. Soaking it up to the fullest extent helps lifts my spirits and that feels amazing. 🙂
