I originally heard of Chef Lance while doing some research on the healing properties (particularly for the gut and digestive tract) of bone broth. I stumbled across a video with him and a friend of our Sean Croxton (links below) making some bone broth in his kitchen.
Because I knew how healing it was for the gut I had to track this guy down.
Turns out a store just down the street carried his exact bone broth! It’s amazing what comes into your life when you set an intention and put it out there that you want it.
We make our own bone broth but we also buy his. We love making our own organic chicken bone broth but to be honest he makes it way better and it’s a lot easier that way.
Bone broth has been used over the years to heal the gut. There are minerals and vitamins in the stock that you just can’t get strictly from vegan foods. People throughout time have been using bone broth for IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), colitis, crohn’s disease, leaky gut, auto immune disease and other digestive maladies.
In fact Kate recently fasted on nothing but water, green juices and bone broth and said it was one of the most healing things she’s ever done.
Bone broth should be a part of everybody’s daily dietary protocol. It’s one of the most soothing and healing foods. The collagen in particular helps to seal the intestinal gut lining and coat the tract to help better absorb nutrients.
