I Felt Like Throwing In The Towel With Our Website Until My Friend Reminded Me Of This…

“God is bigger than Google….”

That phrase will stick with me for some time.

Spoken to me by Robin yesterday morning over a few cups of tea, where there were laughs, tears and new hopes while burying old worn out and hopeless despair of the past few weeks.

To say that she and I have been placed on very similar paths is an understatement.

We are on THE same path what seems to be most all of the time. By this, I mean same journey of the SOUL. Our outward circumstances might look very different, but for the past 15 years or more, our struggles, joys, defeats and triumphs seem to align in such a way that we really ‘get’ what the other is going through.

True empathy.

Not just sympathy. We have learned to ‘hold space’ for one another through all of the numerous valleys and peaks, which will be another entry this week all on it’s own, as it is too powerful to rush through in a brief manner.

During our beloved and sacred tea time, I explained many of the reasons I have been what seems to be like falling apart lately. Not to complain, but to be IN a space of being heard. We never try to ‘fix’ each other and anything, however we allow ourselves and the other to just BE, whatever that may look like, and we in turn ALWAYS walk away blessed and full once again. Regardless of how grim and bleak times get.

Among a slew of health challenges that are keeping me more than busy, our Extreme Health Radio website seems to be under an attack of sorts. Whether it be from Google by way of their traffic regulations and rankings, OR some other forces at be (call it bad luck, karma, learning lessons, God allowing, a curse even) our site has hit a very low point that caused us to almost throw in the towel, as we are barely keeping our heads above water here.

At one point in the conversation, Robin looked at me and said in the most strong, brave tone,

Simply TRUE.

I do believe that yes, God is in fact bigger than anything that comes up against me that seems to knock me back and take my breath away or kick me when I am down. It seemed like a paper cut/lemon juice scenario…and man did it HURT.

Then today, I was greeted first thing this morning with a follow up text from Robin that read:

“In fierce storms,” said an old seaman, “we must do one thing; there is only one way;we must put the ship in a certain position and keep her there.”

Then it went on to say…

Is this life extremely difficult at times? You BET.

However, I am choosing yet again today to tie myself to the helm and keep pointed in the right direction…right through the center of this storm.

Somehow even now in the thick of it, the hardships we are both facing- we managed to laugh.

I will buckle down, hold on to my faith, and know in my heart of hearts that google is no match for the GIANT God I know and experience him to be on a daily basis.
