It was a complete delight to spend time with Amy Schuber.

For those that don’t know we talked about how to live with intention and some practical tips for creating a life that you really want. So many times we live in fear of what others might think of us. We act as if we’re stuck because we’re afraid of the judgement or opinions of people in our lives that have influence upon us.

Many times we also take the first “good option” that comes along to us rather than setting out with a defined intention of how we want to make our mark in the world. I see it all the time especially with kids coming out of high school or college. They often times take the first good job that comes their way rather than taking time to look within themselves and figure out what they want and how they want to live life.

We rush them into “finding a job” because it’s the responsible thing to do rather than letting our kids figure out (without financial pressure) how they want to live life and what they’re here for. It’s quite sad really. Before you know it, they’ve racked up debt and get sucked into jobs that are crushing their soles only to pay off things they never needed.

We also discussed the difference between being pulled towards your life goals vs being pushed to do certain things out of fear or scarcity. I brought up the idea of living an anti cancer diet. Even though the diet might be “anti” cancer, it still focuses on cancer. We ought to eat a life giving diet. Over time we should be focusing on moving towards things instead of away from things as the latter places its emphasis on the negative.

Amy shared her story of how she got into life coaching and explained the benefits of having a life coach that really can be a trusted ally. A life coach can be a fan and mentor and somebody who gives guidance and really hears what you’re saying but not giving advice.

Like Amy said we have coaches for all things in life, but not overall life coaches who can really offer some unique perspective on who you are, where you’re doing and how best to get there that fulfills all people.

There is a river flowing now very fast.
It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid.

They will try to hold on to the shore.

They will feel like they are being torn apart, and they will suffer greatly.
Know the river has its destination.
The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off toward the middle of the river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above the water.

See who is there with you and celebrate.

At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally, least of all ourselves.

For the moment we do, our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt.

The time of the lonely wolf is over.

Gather yourselves!

Banish the word struggle from your attitude and vocabulary.

All that you do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.

We are the ones we have been waiting for.
