These raw cacao granola bars are just incredible. I got the original recipe from Raw Dog Rory’s post.
He added some cacao drizzle over the top of them, took better photos and they probably taste better too. I guess that explains why he’s a chef and I’m not. I’m okay with that. I do what I can in the kitchen and that’s all you can ask for right?
This recipe is really quite easy. Don’t let the amount of ingredients scare you. And don’t go out shopping in order to get all the ingredients to make this. I improvise a lot and don’t measure anything. Just use what you have on hand and they’ll turn out really tasty and probably more delicious than mine.
You can even add a little stevia to add extra sweetness as well. I used only 3 dates and don’t get any sugar rush at all.
Items You’ll Need:
A good food processor that is powerful and can do the job.
Ingredients:
- Almonds
- Coconut shreds
- Pumpkin seeds
- Sea Salt
- Cinnamon
- Vanilla extract
- 3 pitted dates
- Goji berries
- Cacao or carob powder
- Almond butter
- Coconut oil
- Coconut butter
- Water
- Flax powder
- Sunwarrior protein powder
Process all in the food processor until it clumps together. Then put onto a plate and form into a ball. Put some wax paper over it and use a rolling pin to form into the desired thickness.
Put into the freezer and enjoy.
