Gentle Reminders…

So today starts the first official day of my experiment. This is the phrase I have chosen to start with as it seems appropriate for my life, in particular with the changing of the season.

It always seems this time of year beckons me to clean, throw away, give away, restore, refresh, cleanse and restart. I love Spring and thank her for her timely and gentle reminders to me each year.

This first phrase I decide to start close to home. So that it could be a reminder to me until it washes away or blows away in the wind, I chalked it in the alley that runs right outside our home…a high traffic pathway which handfuls of pedestrians pass by on each day. Mothers and fathers walking their kids to school, the mailman, all sorts of avid dog walkers, skateboarders (of all ages may I mention-Justin and I get a kick out of the 40 year old skateboarder-type that we seem to see so often riding in our neighborhood with the school aged kids) and many people just out and about on their way to the local beaches.

My hope is that whoever-if anyone at all-happens upon these words,it makes them think; realize that so much of life is in the simple living that truly feeds our souls. To be encouraged to Spring clean out their lives like I am trying to do-to rid myself of the excess that seems to so often end up owning me-or at the very least, bogging me down.

This serves as a visual reminder to do just this-live as simply as one possibly can…I can’t wait to see what happens in my life the more I embrace this much needed change and season…

Hey everybody my name is Kate and I am a newcomer to the blogging world! I’ve always been a person who values fitness and health in my life but I can honestly say that the past few years have really been a wake-up call for something bigger-something better.

I am excited to blog about my journeys alongside my husband Justin as we discover and delve into the world of possibility that awaits us both in this new year and in the years to come!

We hope the shows from Extreme Health Radio both encourage and inspire you toward living a better, fuller and healthier life as well. We are honored to be able to produce them and get to do what we are passionate about on a day to day basis and I welcome any comments. Thanks and God bless.
