What causes cancer? This was a question I asked my doctor many years ago (before I knew anything about alternative health). He didn’t know what to tell me. I could tell he was making stuff up because he himself had no idea what caused cancer.

Dr. Thomas Lodi is the author of The Kinder, Gentler Cancer Treatment: Insulin Potentiation Targeted LowDose(TM) Therapy.

The cause of cancer has been known since 1931 when Otto Warburg showed that when you deprive a healthy cell of 35% oxygen over a period of a few days, that cell will become cancerous.

A cell deprived of oxygen will almost immediately become cancer. Obviously there are other factors that will determine if a cell becomes cancerous. The protein in milk called casein can propagate the growth of cancer. Environmental factors can begin cancer growth as well as too much sugar.

This is why people eat a diet high in fat, moderate in protein and very low in sugar and carbs in order to avoid feeding cancer cells. Cancer cells can only feed off of glucose. In essence cancer feeds off sugar.

The real cause of cancer is multifaceted but the idea that we have no idea what causes cancer is absolutely crazy. Conventional doctors have no clue about it because they don’t have time to do metabolic research into cancer.

They’re too busy seeing patients all day to do real hardcore research.

Dr. Thomas Lodi from An Oasis of Health talks about the ketogenic diet, sugar and the other factors that feed cancer cell growth.

We also discussed how to get rid of cancer once it’s been diagnosed as well as what his treatment center offers in terms of alternative and natural therapies to help the cancer exit the body gracefully.

Remember we never want to wage a war on cancer or fight cancer.

This is the wrong approach. We want to love the cancer, and ask it what it needs to teach us. Then we need to resolve what it’s teaching us while offering it an alternative to leave the body gracefully.

Thomas Lodi has been practicing medicine for over 28 years. Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Lodi practiced as a clinical psychologist during which time he was director of psychological services for a 240 bed in patient facility in Hawaii. After graduating from the University of Hawaii, School of Medicine in 1985 Dr. Lodi served as a visiting Clinical Fellow at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City where he also underwent training in Internal Medicine. From 1991 to 1996, Dr Lodi was appointed as Clinical Instructor of Medicine at the University of Hawaii, School of Medicine.
