It was really great speaking with Shonagh Home on today’s podcast interview. She’s into some really interesting things like sacred bee keeping, bee sting therapy, cleansing, sacred mushrooms, plant medicines, Rudolph Steiner and even contract law!

She is a true Renaissance woman who is really introducing the idea of shamanism through a woman’s perspective. For some reason, the whole magic mushroom, and psychedelic mushrooms have been dominated primarily by males like Terence McKenna and others.

We got to hear Shonagh’s story of how she got to where she is today. She shares an incredible story of moving all the way across the country for her then husband and subsequently getting a divorce from him.

During this episode we talked about how we have lost initiation, ritual and ceremony in today’s culture. We are all lost and have no idea why or what to do about it.

I shared an analogy during the show that we (as white people) are really no different than native aboriginals or American Indians in terms of not having a home. We have no ancestors or ability to reconnect with nature or spirit.

Although aboriginal people and native Americans outwardly look like they can’t assimilate to modern culture, we as white people are having the same intrinsic struggle inwardly.

On the surface we have our homes, our jobs, our families and our responsibilities but inwardly we are just as lost as those native cultures outwardly.
