I have to tell you I never thought in my wildest dreams all growing up that I would be doing radio and video production. But now that I’m doing it, I absolutely love it and want to continue doing more shows and increasing our topic ranges. Health is only a small part of our overall interest.
Stay on the lookout for what’s coming. We are very excited to help bring interesting information to the masses in a unique and entertaining way.
With that said we talked in this episode (again sorry for the delay) about the power of prayer and how energy works in the body. We also discussed the power of simply getting away from our normal ordinary daily routines. I think it’s important to get away from the stress of our lives a few times per year.
Kate talks about how silent retreats have helped her deal with many things.
We also talked about a really great guy named Wim Hof doing some interesting scientific experiments with cold therapies using specific meditative breathing techniques. He’s a world record setter and the things he’s able to do is nothing short of mind boggling.
Can we use his breathing techniques to change our autonomic nervous system? He says yes. The show notes below will have a specific documentary I watched about him and his methods. It’s winter let’s get into the cold!!!
We also discussed why is it we as humans crave specific labels called a diagnosis. Dr. Richard Massey (link to his show is below) detailed some interesting information that discussed how getting a diagnosis is actually more harmful than the disease itself.
It’s harder on the immune system to remove the psychological impact of having a trusted authority figure (like your family doctor) give you a diagnosis than it is to have the disease itself.
The scary label called a diagnosis is a secondary virus and leaves its imprint on our nervous system that’s incredibly difficult to get rid of.
If you haven’t heard our shows with Dr. Richard Massey I highly recommend you listen to those if you can. He’s my favorite health person to listen to by far. 🙂
