Bruce Fife was somebody we have wanted to have on the show for quite some time. He’s a really knowledgeable person with so much experience it’s amazing.
In our community we know about all the myths concerning fat but it’s interesting because the average person out there (God love them) still things that fat causes weight gain and heart disease. They have no idea that eating fat (as long as it’s the right kind) doesn’t make you fat.
If you look around all you’ll see ingredient labels advertising their foods as “low fat”. Personally I can’t believe that people are still afraid of eating fat. The problem with removing fat from things is that you have to replace it with something. High quality protein is too expensive so what do they replace the fat with?
You guessed it, the lowest quality carbohydrates and sugars you could imagine. From the research I’ve done, it’s not the fat that damages the heart but sugars and carbohydrates in the improper form.
These foods when in the bloodstream end up causing internal inflammation especially inside the tiny arteries near the heart. When blood sugars rise and there are tiny microscopic tears occurring inside the arteries, your body must create and raise cholesterol levels to be used like band aids in order to patch up the internal scarring happening.
Just because cholesterol is present at the scene of the crime doesn’t mean it, itself is the one who’s culpable. It just so happens that the medical industry has figured out a way to artificially manipulate the cholesterol numbers. Shocking right? As a result of this, they’ll keep lying to you in order to scare you enough to keep taking their toxic medications until something bad happens.
Bruce Fife was one of our most favorite guests to have on. He’s extremely knowledgeable, fun and super easy to talk to. After the show Kate and I kept talking about how much we enjoyed his presence and his kindness.
Like I was saying at the end of the show I simply can’t believe that he’s been able to write so many books about a (seemingly) simple topic such as oils and in particular coconut oil.
Coconut oil is just so incredible for so many purposes. We use it in so many ways around our house. We use it to cook with, we use it for enemas, Kate uses coconut oil as a hair conditioner, sunscreen, a makeup remover and it goes great in smoothies too.
I highly suggest taking a spoonful of it each morning on an empty stomach for immediate energy. Forget the coffee (unless it’s a cobalamin tonic or a bulletproof coffee) and get instant energy from taking some coconut oil.
When ingested it doesn’t seem to get into the bloodstream it goes directly to the liver for immediate processing. It’s like eating instant energy.
