Well, the One World Whey was a short lived experiment sadly.

I was hoping with my whole heart this would not be the case, but such is life. 🙁

Upon waking, I felt AMAZING today-even after my snack drink of whey protein yesterday afternoon and my chicken vegetable soup. I was so so happy that my stomach didn’t seem messed up from re-entering food land.

I drank heaps of water and had a sauna session, all about an hour before attempting the first meal of the day. I mixed only one half of a scoop of the whey with coconut cream (coconut water and flesh blended up) along with water and chia seeds. I let it sit for about twenty minutes so the chia seeds could expand and YUM was it tasty going down.

However, within ten minutes (literally) of eating my chia pudding, my stomach was not right. Feelings of discomfort came in the way of cramps, bloating and an overall sense of upset. Even a bit of that nauseous feeling from yesterday afternoon crept back in.

I paid attention for a couple of hours to how exactly I felt with only that in my stomach, as I wanted to be sure to really delve into my body and listen to what it was telling me. Sadly, it told me that it was not yet ready for the integration of whey back in yet.

Disappointing for sure, but I had given it up once, I could do it again no problem.

I then had broth, a juice, and a float session between two chiropractic adjustments today. Felt the need to back off a tad in the adding things and decided to go a bit lighter today.

The more I drank broth, and soup both, the better I felt as the day and night went on. Not sure what I will try tomorrow, as I am treading lightly.

To know what it feels like to feel SO good again to taking some steps back is frustrating, and to be honest I had a small breakdown/feel sorry for myself pity party during dinner.

Feeling this limited with my diet is a bummer at times, and I am getting bored already. What was especially upsetting was that I found an article about histamines high foods, and there were more listed than I had seen previously. That put a damper on my night, as now the limited feels ULTRA limited.

So, I think the following are the foods that have caused me some problems in the past two months by slowly letting them slip in:

  • Tangerines (histamine)
  • Coconut milk chocolate ice cream (high thiol/sulphur in the chocolate)
  • Dates (histamine. I was eating upwards of 8-10 a day in the recent months as they are my absolute fav and couldn’t get enough of them!)
  • Raw cacao and bananas (thiol/histamine/sulphur)
  • Raw soaked nuts (super hard on my digestion)
  • Dried coconut chips (sulphur was added all this time-had no idea!)
  • Nitrate free chicken sausage (histamine, plus had some garlic and onion powder in ingredients which cause thiol prob)

When I get really disappointed and wonder why in the heck I started feeling poorly again-I have to remember that this is not just something that randomly happened to me. When I look back, I can see where I veered off the trail and the problems started. At least this makes SOME sense to me.

Grateful beyond belief that I am going to sleep with a happy belly tonight that has calmed down from the inflamed feeling of this morning.

FEEL GOOD MOMENT OF THE DAY: Being completely taken out of my head today during my 90 minute float session. I TRULY was able to let it all go when entering the isolation chamber, and left renewed and ready to start over. That is the best feeling in the world-starting over. I have to remember that full days are not ruined, and that minute by minute we are being renewed.
