Need PROOF to share with family or friends? Want to get censored factual evidence not on the mainstream media?
Feel confident in your personal decisions, and get the information you need to feel empowered sharing with others.
I get this question all the time. Blending or juicing which one is healthier for you?
First let me say that I’m not a nutritionist by any stretch. I’m just a guy who’s been almost obsessive about health and super nutrition since 2003 when I figured out you can cure any disease with diet, and that there is really only one disease.
Turns out that knowing that information could put mega industries out to pasture…
Anyway it’s life changing information and for that reason I’ve been really digesting the cutting edge information for over 10 years now.
The answer to this question is Yes, No Maybe. Perhaps not the maybe part but the real answer is that it depends. It depends on your current state of health. It depends on how much money you have. It depends on how much time you have to devote to your health. It depends on what your goals are. It depends on so many factors it borders on the ridiculous.
It’s similar to figuring out what’s causing your joint or muscle pain. There are hundreds if not thousands of active variables to work out.
In general my answer is that they’re both equally important.
Kate and I make one green juice per day. The trick with juicing is to keep the sugars VERY low. Because if you don’t, juicing can be incredibly dangerous and harmful to your health. It’s like being given the keys to the kingdom.
The reason it’s powerful (depending on how you make the juices) is because it’s not a whole food. God never intended for us to drink the juice of 15 carrots in a matter of 60 seconds.
On the other hand if you don’t add a lot of sugary items into the juice it can be incredible medicine. It’s the sugar we worry about when juicing. That’s why we rarely juice more than 1 or 2 carrots and no more than 1/3 of a beet.
If juice apples we only juice 1 of them and make sure it’s the green apples which are much lower in sugar.
Juicing is great because since there is no fiber, you can get the phyto nutrients, vitamins, minerals and enzymes directly into your blood stream in less than 15 minutes. Very powerful.
It’s a great delivery system to get massive amounts of usable and absorbable minerals and vitamins like calcium, chlorophyll, magnesium, vitamin c and the list goes on.
The downside to juicing is once again making sure you don’t juice fruits, but it doesn’t fill you up that much. You’ll feel full for an hour or so and then you’ll be hungry again.
I would recommend learning exactly how to juice in order to get the best results possible. If you do it right, juicing can be absolute magic.
Don’t expect to be satiated on a green juice.
Now to blending…
Blending is one of the most amazing things ever. We use the Vitamix blender and will NEVER go back to a regular blender. The great thing about blending is you can get tons of super foods and super herbs into your diet all in 1 drink.
Imagine for the base alone you could use coconut milk, coffee, water, kombucha, kefir (milk or water), almond milk, or any kind of herbal or medicinal tea.
And that’s just the base!
If I have these on hand I’ll use an ounce or two of all them.
Then you can add in fats, low sugar berries, super food powders, raw eggs and much more. There’s really no end to all the ingredients you can put into your smoothies or post workout shakes.
On average I make 2 super food smoothies per day as well as a big green juice.
So I guess you could say, I think there’s no answer to what’s better, blending (emulsifying) or juicing.
I like them both equally.
